The Inventory Planner/ Production Scheduler is responsible for inventory planning & management, developing/deploying standard processes in support of ongoing continuous improvement efforts within supply chain and manufacturing operations teams.
This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Manufacturing Operations Team located in Loveland, CO and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company. Monitoring the inventory levels through inventory analysis to ensure optimal stock is maintained including facilitating of cycle counts & annual full physical inventory, identifying and resolving discrepancies between inventory records and stock levels. Conducting regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Manage Inventory to accurately track material flow, organization, and warehousing. Preparing detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
Work closely with buyers (assessing PO’s, monitoring supplier OTD, negotiating lead times and MIN/MULTS with vendors, etc..), material handlers, production operators, production planners, and the shipping/receiving team in a fast-paced environment with a continuous focus on safety standards, quality, and accuracy.
Serve as back-up to the production planner which may include monitoring production demands, capacity, production schedules and other duties as assigned.
The essential requirements of the job include:
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or related field with 2+ years of experience in Inventory Planning or Production Scheduling OR Master's degree in related field with 0-2 years experience.
Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), computer skills, and data entry knowledge, Microsoft Office (Outlook, TEAMS, Word, Excel, etc…). Proven analytical skills, take initiative, ability to use strong judgment in making recommendations and problem solving.
Excellent communication and organizational skills. Detail oriented performer that is result’s driven with a strong sense of time management and urgency.
Knowledge of Inventory management best practices including inventory reduction, lead time & MIN/MULT negotiations, supplier relations.
Proactive problem solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve shortages, investigate discrepancies, and improve inventory accuracy/KPIs through root-cause thinking and follow-through.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Travel is not planned but could occur on a very limited basis and would be based on any changing needs of the business.
You must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 45lb, any other physical requirements.
This is primarily an office position though walking, standing, bending, and reaching will be required on a regular basis.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Be a champion for material planning processes and inventory control countermeasures. Promote problem solving around stock outs, raw material shortages, supplier On Time Delivery (OTD), and provide feedback to affected parties on in-bound delivery misses.
Have experience in inventory reduction and increasing inventory turns to make a more well-rounded team member as cross-training will occur within this role.
The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
