SummaryJob Description:Baptist Health is looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel to join their team in Louisville.Provides legal counsel and services to Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. management and provides legal services for Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. and its affiliated companies as assigned by the Deputy General Counsel(s) and/or the Chief Legal & Regulatory Affairs Officer.- Provides legal advice and services for Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. and its affiliated companies to assure that the organizational structure, business transactions, and operational activities of Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. and its affiliated companies comply with applicable laws and regulations.- Provides legal advice to Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. and its affiliated companies involving general healthcare, patient care, regulatory, and compliance matters including HIPAA, guardianship, consent, billing, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, accreditation and licensure, anti-kickback law, tax exemption and Stark law.- Interprets and analyzes laws, regulations, case law, and government agency directives, and guidance, and OIG opinions for Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. and its affiliated companies.- Assists with the development and review of policies and procedures that impact the operations of Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. and its affiliated companies, as assigned by the Deputy General Counsel(s)- Prepares and/or reviews and revises contracts between Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. and its affiliated companies and outside agencies, organizations, and individuals.Requirements:- Doctorate degree with seven years' experience.- Experience with Complex healthcare transactions, acquisitions, joint ventures, interactions with government agencies, analyzing and advisingon Stark, anti-kickback, tax exempt and other relevant legal and regulatory compliance requirements applicable to healthcaretransactions.- Licensure by the Commonwealth of Kentucky or licensed in another state or eligible for licensure in Kentucky andmembership in the Kentucky Bar AssociationWork ExperienceEducationIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.**"EEO Statement: Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and seeks to employ individuals without regard to r ace, color, national origin, gender, s exual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, citizenship status, military status, religious or political beliefs, protected veteran status, employment status or any other protected class identified in any federal, state, or local law.
