SummaryJob Description:Registered Nurse L&D Delivery Team- Part Time, NightsStatus: Part Time*Shift: ThirdAbout The Unit:The Baptist Health Louisville Labor andDeliveryUnit has 14 number of beds, 3 ORs, and an OB-ED, delivering over 3,000 babies each year. We work with four different private practice obstetric physician groups as well as the OB Hospitalist Group who runs the OBED and is in-house 24/7.We have an active Maternal Fetal Medicine department collaborating in care of our high-risk maternal patients. Baptist Health Louisville has a level III NICU that takes babies down to 26 weeks gestation. Anesthesia in-house 24/7 as well. We take pride in our culture ofteamwork, professionalism, and utilizing evidence-based practice.Job Summary:Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient's care. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes. The registered nurse serves as a role m odel through actively participating in the process of continuous professional development and lifelong learning.The NewbornDeliveryTeamis ateamof Registered Nurses who attend eachdeliveryin L&D to provide resuscitation support and primary newborn care during the time ofdeliverythrough the first two hours of life.
