The Payroll Tax Intern will be responsible for supporting payroll tax operations through administrative tasks, account maintenance, process improvement initiatives and special projects. This role is located in Louisville, KY and will be fully on-site.Starting Pay: $22/hr*Schedule: *35-40 hours a week*ResponsibilitiesPayroll Tax Intern* Responsibilities:- Coordinate with state and local tax agencies to establish or regain access to employer tax accounts.- Register and maintain access to online tax portals, ensuring credentials and account details are properly documented.- Create and maintain a centralized repository for account information, including usernames, access instructions, and relevant contacts.- Perform data entry and clerical tasks to support payroll tax filings, notices and account maintenance.- Help track and organize tax notices, correspondence, and account statuses.- Support the team in ensuring accurate and accessible records for all payroll tax accounts.- Assist with special projects aimed at improving efficiency, compliance, and scalability of payroll tax processes.Payroll Tax Intern Qualifications:- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and email.- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.- Comfortable handling sensitive or confidential information with care.- Organization: Ability to keep information, files and tasks well-structured and easy to access preferred.- Communication: Comfortable reaching out to agencies and internal partners with guidance preferred.- Reliability: Follows through on assigned tasks and meets deadlines preferred.- Adaptability: Willing to take on a variety of administrative and support tasks preferred.- Problem Awareness: Ability to recognize when something doesn't look right and ask questions preferred.QualificationsJoining Wieland's team gives you...- *Benefits - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!- Retirement Savings - 401(k) contribution + match.- Work/Life Balance - Paid Vacation & Holidays.- Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
