SummaryJob Description:Baptist Health Medical GroupNeuropsychologistSt. Matthews areaFull Time The Neuropsychologist will apply principles and theories of neuropsychology to evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders of higher cerebral functioning. This role will be integral in clinical settings and rehabilitation, focusing on understanding the effects of physiological/psychological states on cognition and behavior This position may involve working in a variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, research institutions, and educational facilities. The role may require some evening or weekend hours for consultations or community education events.Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations including assessments of cognitive abilities, attention, memory, language, learning, and sensorimotor function.- Write detailed clinical neuropsychological reports based on findings from psychological tests, observations, interviews, and self-reports.- Interview patients to gather complete medical and psychological histories, as well as relevant family histories.- Comprehensively evaluate patients suffering from neurological conditions, including those with traumatic brain injuries, stroke, or chronic neurological disorders.- Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding the neurological condition and treatment plans of patients.- Educate and counsel patients and their families on neuropsychological conditions and treatment options.- Train and oversee the clinical practice of neuropsychometrists, when added to the practice.- Develop quality metrics and quarterly quality reports within 1st year of practice.- Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the field of neuropsychology through continuous education and participation in professional organizations.- Conduct research on neuropsychological disorders to contribute to evidence-based practices in treatment and evaluation.*Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required- Doctorate degree required.- Two years minimum job-related experience required.- Licensure to practice psychology in the relevant state.- Eligibility for Professional Registration or Certification.Work ExperienceRelevant Work ExperienceEducationIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.*"EEO Statement: Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, and seeks to employ individuals without regard to r ace, color, national origin, gender, s exual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, citizenship status, military status, religious or political beliefs, protected veteran status, employment status or any other protected class identified in any federal, state, or local law.
