Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards while reporting any deficiencies to management. You will operate and maintain automated bottling equipment, perform machine and equipment line changeovers, and conduct preventive maintenance tasks. Your role will involve troubleshooting machinery, including PLCs, and ensuring optimal machine performance.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to PPE program and safety standards while performing job duties with hazards.

  • Operate automated equipment using Human Mechanical Interface for setup and adjustments.

  • Maintain and upgrade various automated bottling equipment.

  • Perform machine and equipment line changeovers.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and line inspections.

  • Adjust electromechanical devices for proper operation.

  • Manage and improve wax dipping operations.

  • Keep work areas clean and organized as part of GMP program.

  • Respond to breakdowns, identify root causes, and reset equipment.

  • Troubleshoot machinery, including PLCs, for optimum performance.

  • Coach and train team members to prevent repeat issues.

  • Use CMMS for capturing maintenance activities and data analysis.

  • Engage with teams on capital initiatives for continuous improvement.

  • Create and implement maintenance and performance reports.

  • Identify spare parts and change parts needs.

  • Work with suppliers to find solutions.

  • Operate various maintenance equipment safely.

  • Support plant programs for safety, quality, and waste reduction.

  • Facilitate a team-based working environment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting.

  • Experience with schematic and blueprint reading.

  • PLC troubleshooting and controls troubleshooting.

  • VFD troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

  • Experience with conveyance and bottling equipment maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturer instructions, diagrams, and schematics.

  • Experience with Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and PLC programming.

  • Strong problem assessment and solving skills.

  • Flexibility and proactive approach to work.

  • Ability to work from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with required overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $87360.00/yr.
