SummaryJob Description:PRN, Second ShiftJob Summary:Performs all types of restorative floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, including hard surfaces and carpets.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.1. Performs all types of floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, including hard surfaces and carpets.2. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment; reports any maintenance needed immediately to EVS Supervision.3. Maintains accurate floor care logs and checklists.4. Operates all equipment with care and according to facility and manufactures safety standards and procedures.5. Uses cleaning chemicals appropriately and with proper dilution ratio.6. Performs project work and specialty tasks according to facility needs. This may include but is not limited to tasks such as conference room set up/dismantle according to setup requirements, and schedules. Cleaning of stairwells, elevators, changing cubicle curtains, furniture moves, and bed transport.7. Removes waste and soiled linen in a safe and effective manner to designated area following established guidelines.8. Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning process, hand hygiene,standard and isolation precautions, where and if required. Following proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment at all times.9. Keeps janitor closet, equipment and cleaning tools, in a neat, clean and organized manner10. Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy and all HIPAA requirements.Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:A. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.B. Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to promote and maintain cooperative and courteous relationships with team members, patients, visitors, doctors and others.C. Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks.D. Floor Restorative Maintenance experience required.E.
