Adecco is hiring immediately for a EHS Specialist in Louisville, KY. While working as a EHS Specialist for Adecco, you will earn $34.00 - $45.00/hour. These are Direct Hire 1st shift positions Monday – Friday 8a – 5pm, with occasional overtime required.
The Operations Safety & Environmental Specialist implements and assists in the development of Site/Divisional Safety, Environmental, Security, and Hazmat programs for applicable business units for the Brush Manufacturing and Distribution Center. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations while also performing EHS audits and assessments in order to prevent environmental, safety and hazmat related incidents. Reports back to Corporate EHS issues or concerns that require corporate assistance. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in safety, chemistry, biology, or related technical fields and two to five years of experience dealing with safety, environmental and Hazmat issues preferably within manufacturing and distribution center
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment with experience in managing or handling safety/environmental issues
Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to a distribution and manufacturing environments
Experience with management of change, shipping hazardous material, and ergonomic evaluations
Must regularly lift and/or moved up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must be able to wear safety glasses, safety shoes and hi-viz vest at all times
Demonstrated ability to work independently and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations
Ability to use sound judgement and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining client service orientation
Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment
Pay Details: $34.00 to $45.00 per hour
