Diesel Maintenance Technician (B) Job Overview Vehicle Technician B will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment; perform job duties independently with limited supervision; provide mentoring and assistance to Vehicle Technician C's as needed. Duties & Responsibilities:- Perform some electrical, mechanical diagnostic, and repair of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment- Perform various forms of equipment repair including drive chain components, automatic brake systems, etc. through an intermediate level of experience and system knowledge- Maintainaccurateparts inventory, research, resolve all discovered inventory discrepancies and notify maintenance management when a resolution is not available- Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse,- Performothertasksasdeterminedandrequestedbymanagement- Work in the Maintenance software system to record data, ensure DOT compliance, and ensurefollow-upof return orders- Serve as a mentor for Vehicle Technicians C, as needed; may perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Basic welding and cutting torch operation skills- Basic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skills- Understanding of tire ination systems- Knowledge and ability to mount and dismount tires- Basic diagnostic tool skills- Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks- Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards- Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions tools, equipment, machinery and, or materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipment- Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors working conditions- Must be able to work a exible schedule and be able to vary the start and nish times, possibly including weekends and holidays- Basic computer skills- Each technician needs to provide their own toolsMinimum Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years old- High school diploma or GED- Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of relevant work experience- D.O.T. Brake Inspection certification- Ability to obtain a DOT medical certificateCoca-Cola Consolidated is the nation's largest Coca-Cola bottler.
