Position Summary
Kiewit is looking for 100T Tadano Crane Operators for the I-65 Central Project located in Louisville, KY.
Requirements
Experience operating a variety of cranes including Telescoping Crawler Cranes, Lattice Boom Cranes, and Rough Terrain Cranes.
Current and valid NCCCO alongside all required licenses and qualifications in accordance with federal, state, and project-specific regulations
Experience working near active traffic, utilities, and within tight project footprints.
Experience reading lift plans, load charts, and project drawings, and must work closely with riggers, signal persons, and site supervision to ensure all lifts are executed safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of ground conditions, crane setup requirements, and load stability considerations, particularly in roadway and bridge environments where uneven terrain and limited access are common

Dayshift & Nightshift
$41.05/hr, plus fringe pay on straight time
All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
Work Environment
This position demands a safety-first mindset, technical expertise in crane operations, and the ability to contribute to the successful execution of complex infrastructure projects
Effective communication skills are required to coordinate with crew members and respond to hand signals and radio instructions
The person must consistently demonstrate situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to stop work when unsafe conditions arise
Key responsibilities include safely hoisting, positioning, and securing materials such as structural steel, precast concrete components, bridge girders, and heavy equipment
The Crane Operator is expected to conduct daily equipment inspections, identify and report mechanical issues, and ensure all equipment is maintained in safe working condition
Strict adherence to all safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company-specific safety protocols, is mandatory
The person must demonstrate the ability to perform complex lifts, work in constrained job site conditions, and adapt to the dynamic requirements typical of highway and bridge construction projects
The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions
Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment
May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site
May require U.S. Driver License
Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required
Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
