Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth processing of invoices and data. Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Utilize QuickBooks to record and maintain financial data and reconcile accounts.
• Perform precise data entry to ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Handle invoice processing, including verification, coding, and payment preparation.
• Assist with maintaining organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial documents.
• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve financial issues.
• Generate reports and summaries to support decision-making and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
• Provide support during audits or reviews by preparing required documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Prior experience in a contract role is a plus.
