This role is part of the Digital team, overseeing strategic planning, architecture and modernization of the Technology Architecture for the US Renewables Business. Key initiatives include defining and driving architecture strategies, developing enterprise roadmaps, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and business technology roadmap management. This position collaborates with other digital functional leads in establishing an effective technology architecture across all enterprise Digital platforms and providing primary input to the Digital Governance Process. This function is responsible for process management across the Digital function.

The Enterprise Architect will lead architecture processes, including the Architecture Review Board for US Renewables, liaising with the Digital Center of Expertise for Cybersecurity, Hosting and Networking policies, to have an integrated and standardized technology roadmap and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadthe implementation of Enterprise Architecturepractices,standardsand frameworks for the Digital Team touse in evaluating technology changesfor the Renewables Business Unit.

  • Lead the transition from point-in-time architecture documentation to structured, governed architecture data that can be analyzed, reused, and kept currentby implementing theLeanIXArchitectural Solution.

  • Leadthearchitecturereview boardto review,approveand guide the enterprise onnew technologyimplementations for projects,programsand SaaS solutions.

  • Define the maturity stages forapplicationportfolio management(e.g.inventory, assessment, rationalization, modernization) and guide other digital functionsin its implementation.

  • Establishconsistent linkage between businessand technologyarchitecture, ensuringcapabilities, processes, value streams, are mapped inapplications,dataand technology; ensuring alignment betweenbusiness and IT strategy to ensure IT capabilities align and business goals.

  • Cross-functional alignment of roadmapsand standards and toidentifywhen changes arerequired.

  • Facilitates business and digital alignmentthrough collaborative, consultative leadership, driving digital business strategies and balancing innovation that drives growth with cost optimization and risk mitigation.

  • Design and evolve a modernization scorecard thatassessesapplications, data analyticsandIT/OTtechnologies across architectural criteria that can recommend modernization tactics and effort.

  • Reduce risk across theRenewables Business Unitby ensuring deployed technology is secure,resilientand meets policy requirements for privacy,obsolescenceand security.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science,Computer Engineering, Business, ora relatedfield.

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis.

  • 10+ years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management, or operations in a multitier environment.

  • Demonstrated experience implementingsoftware solutions.

  • Preference for TOGAF certification

  • ExperienceworkingwithteamAgilepractices(PreferCertifiedPMI-ACP)

  • Collaborative and supportive, fostering alignment with business strategies and values.

  • Innovative, with strong foresight, systems thinking and design thinking capabilities.

  • Vendor and technology neutral, focused on achieving targeted business outcomes over personal preferences or those of other business and IT leaders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across geographically distributed teams.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $134,000 and $168,300/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus. The benefits offered for this position are: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (including vacation, sick leave time, and parental leave). If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
