Job Title: Maintenance Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at a manufacturing facility. In this role, you will drive the overall execution of engineering and maintenance excellence, ensuring proactive and effective maintenance while enhancing the experience for everyone onsite. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals to meet safety, quality, and production goals, providing vision and leadership to maintain site equipment, instrumentation, utilities, and facilities in compliance with good engineering practices.
Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to all safety protocols.
Supervise hourly personnel involved with maintenance, repair, programming, and servicing of plant facilities and equipment.
Collect and record data such as requisitions, time spent, tag information, PM, and machine documents as required.
Manage preventative maintenance program and identify ways to run equipment more efficiently.
Maintain spare parts inventory.
Conduct pre-shift maintenance objective meetings regularly.
Develop and implement training procedures and plans to train employees in new processes and equipment while improving skills.
Analyze problems to minimize them, decrease costs, or improve yields; recommend and implement changes upon approval.
Maintain performance records on employees, communicate performance regularly, and coach employees on methods and techniques for improving performance, including reviewing time records.
Evaluate employee performance and discipline employees according to company policy as needed.
Schedule employees' work time and vacation time to ensure proper department coverage.
Coordinate with operating departments to support ongoing plant operations.
Perform other duties as required.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's or technical degree in engineering administration or operations preferred and/or at least 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance manager role.
Advanced technical skills in the mechanical and/or electrical fields (e.g., PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical systems, etc.).
Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electronic equipment and systems required.

Work Environment
The Maintenance Manager operates in both a manufacturing and office environment within the tile production facility. While much of the role involves administrative and supervisory duties in an office setting, frequent presence on the production floor is required to oversee operations, coordinate maintenance, and monitor safety and quality. The production area includes exposure to heat, dust, moisture, and moderate to loud noise levels typical of a tile manufacturing process. The position may require walking, standing, or climbing stairs for extended periods to observe and inspect equipment or processes. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe boots must be worn when on the production floor. Working hours are 7am-5pm with some weekends.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
