Job description

This position is responsible for overall supervision of a manufacturing cell, focused factory, or work-center in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, employee productivity, and employee safety goals. Coordinates with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements. Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates personnel to create high performance culture. Is an active member of the Operations team and works closely with other departments to achieve the goals.

  • Supervises all direct reports within a given work-center to ensure completion of customer requirements.

  • Assesses performance indicators, and takes appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met

  • Ensures required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, materials resource planning system, and financial reporting are met

  • Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistency and compliance with Company's policies and procedures

  • Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance

  • Supports product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer due dates are met

  • Assures that Environment, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, company policies, and good corporate citizenship

  • Evaluates operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, training, disciplinary action, etc.

  • Specifies job assignments for direct reports, and monitors performance to achieve product delivery and cost requirements

The expected salary range for this position is between $70,310 - $101,090 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.

Candidate skills & requirements

Education & Experience: Combination of education and experience:

• Associate's degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Management or related field plus at least 5 years of related work experience, including experience within aviation or aerospace or

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Business, Management, or related field plus at least 3 years' of related work experience including experience within aviation or aerospace

Computer Skills: Proficiency with Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Other Skills:

• Previous experience in planning or managing projects

• Basic knowledge of program management methodologies

• proven ability to manage a repair station

• Ability to develop, lead, motivate working teams

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient ability to solve problems
