Overview
Shift: Monday-Friday. Evenings at 3pm
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Supervisor provides operational and clinical supervision for a work area or unit. Responsible for front-line supervision of staff while on the unit. Collaborates with the Manager to implement plans addressing performance improvement, quality improvement, advancement of care delivery, and customer/staff satisfaction. Serves as a work area leader and develops systems to ensure efficient workflow and collaborative relationships with physicians and other members of the interprofessional team. Maintains open communication with manager regarding patients, family, personnel and departmental issues.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in pediatrics preferred. Expert clinical knowledge of unit’s patient population. Ability to lead others. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing. 3 years experience as a NICU nurse or recent experience as a supervisor/manager preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Baccalaureate degree and California licensure in respective discipline required; For nursing: California RN License, Current CPR and PALS Card; For NICCU nursing: NRP and certification in neonatal intensive care nursing from a nationally-recognized accrediting organization required; National Certification Required
Pay Scale Information
$136,427.00-$233,875.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
