Description
The Bhaduri Lab seeks a Staff Research Associate I to support human stem cell and organoid-based neuroscience/cancer research. The position will execute and maintain core wet-lab workflows, including hESC/iPSC culture and validation, organoid generation and experimental treatment, sample harvest and processing for RNA/immunostaining/other downstream assays, molecular biology techniques (including cloning/PCR/immunostaining), mammalian cell culture, and lab operations support (reagent organization and workflow readiness). The SRA I will work independently in a fast-paced collaborative lab, communicate results effectively, and help ensure reliable, reproducible research output across multiple active sponsored projects.
Salary: $28.69 - $34.21 hourly
Qualifications
Required:
B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science or other related science or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1 years of related experience or training with tissue culture and maintain sterility.
Experience in a wet lab, either through classes or academic research.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills, including ability to keep a lab notebook and organize common lab resources.
Knowledge of basic cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical principles.
Ability to use laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meter, PCR machines etc.
Ability to handle tissue culture and maintain sterility.
Ability to communicate effectively to convey experimental results.
Ability to learn new methods and protocols and to adapt these to current laboratory situations.
Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, and students.
Experience with single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis in R and experience on data server management
