About the Role

We are looking for a Product Development Project Management Specialist who will support the successful implementation of strategic product development programs utilizing the PDP (product development process). This position will ensure best-in-class new product development practices as a competitive advantage for the business. The Project Management Specialist will support the core team leader on next generation insulin pump development programs

About the Role

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Partner with the core team leader to coordinate day-to-day program activities and ensure smooth execution.

  • Manage the release and maintenance of program documentation in the document management system, ensuring compliance with internal procedures

  • Maintain program dashboards for team collaboration and leadership review

  • Monitor program timelines, milestones and deliverables; follow-up with stakeholders to maintain progress.

  • Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams and escalate issues as needed.

  • Maintain program tracking systems, including risk register and decision logs.

  • Support the core team leader with managing the program budget with components that include human resources, prototypes, suppliers, and general expenses

  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including agendas, materials, and action item tracking.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of program management and product development systems and processes.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other science related field and 2+ years program management, project engineering or product development experience.

Nice to Have

  • Masters in Engineering

  • Project Management Certification (PMP)

  • Experience in product development of medical devices

  • Strong project management skills with experience effectively and efficiently executing against project contracts; knowledge of process and project planning best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness with ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of management and employees.

  • Strong analytical, planning, organization and time management skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Experience devising and implementing streamlined processes and strategic projects to improve efficiency, timeliness, and productivity.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
