The Surgical Oncology and Hepatobiliary Advanced Practice Providers are integral to the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center. Our practice involves evaluating, treating, and monitoring a variety of cancer diagnoses or potential cancer diagnoses, in addition to benign diseases of the liver and pancreas. Summary of Essential Duties:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver flawless care to patients in the Cancer Center.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
Develop personalized treatment plans and effectively communicate them to patients and their families.
Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Actively participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient outcomes.
Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Experience:
Over one year of experience as a PA-C specializing in Oncology.
Experience with Surgical Oncology highly preferred.
Licensure/Certifications Requirements:
Current PA-C License
National Certification (NPI and NCCPA)
Current DEA License.
Current (Life Support Certification – BLS, ACLS) required.
