UCLA Health Pharmacy Clinical Systems Administrator in Los Angeles, California

Play a key role in supporting exceptional patient care

within a nationally recognized health system. At UCLA Health Pharmacy, you'll

Under the guidance of the Senior Clinical Applications

Pharmacist, as a Clinical Systems Administrator you will

be responsible for the administration, integration, and optimization of

pharmacy information technology (IT) systems. This role serves as a technical

analyst applying contemporary IT knowledge to deploy and maintain systems

infrastructure. You will complete medical device software/firmware updates,

purchase and maintain supporting hardware, and support these solutions

throughout their lifespan. Project work may be assigned and will include

high-impact initiatives such as: new facility deployments, expansion of

pharmacy services, and new systems integration.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Hourly Salary Range: $39.93-$66.60

Bargaining Unit: TX - UPTE

Qualifications

We are seeking a dedicated professional with:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare data or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting or within the healthcare industry at large.

  • Knowledge/experience related to healthcare data.

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and professional staff.

  • Ability to set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.

  • Ability to perform job requirements with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.

  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to communicate orally on a one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, explain policies and procedures, and to persuade others to accept or adopt a specific opinion or action.

  • Understanding of system performance monitoring and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance. Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs.

  • Experience adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations relating to the practice of pharmacy.

  • Knowledge of and compliance with California State Board of Pharmacy, University of California, and federal rules and regulation governing pharmacy.
