Description
The Office of Outreach and Pathway Programs Student Workers
live among the SHPEP and PREP summer programs scholars, working primarily in
the evenings and weekends, to provide community support and emergency response.
Student Workers are accountable for the administration and implementation of
various responsibilities that work towards building a safe, supportive, and
inclusive living-learning community environment; assisting with the growth,
development, and well-being of residents; planning and holding 1 or 2 social
events for the scholars; and providing emergency and crisis response to their
community. Aside from their hourly wage, student workers will receive room and
board in UCLA Housing as part of their total compensation for the duration of
the SHPEP and PREP programs.
*The room and board value are considered taxable and will
be reflected in an annual W-2.
Hourly Salary Range: $18.60 - $40.00
Qualifications
Required:
Must be a current UCLA student
Skill to counsel students in order to resolve personal, interpersonal, and academic difficulties
Knowledge of the UCLA Campus and surrounding community
Ability to enforce UCLA Housing and campus policies
Preferred/Training Provided:
Knowledge about emergency and crisis response resources available at UCLA.
Working knowledge of related federal and state laws as they pertain to campus and housing regulations.
