Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Anesthesia Technician Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for anesthesia technical services across all anesthetizing locations, including operating rooms, ambulatory surgery center, and non-operating room anesthesia (NORA) sites. Ensure appropriate staffing, equipment readiness, and supply availability to support safe, efficient patient care.
Responsible for anesthesia equipment lifecycle management, supply chain operations, and adherence to regulatory, safety, and infection control standards. Partners with clinical, operational, and technical teams to standardize workflows, optimize performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Supervises, trains and develops anesthesia technician staff, ensuring competency, engagement, and alignment with organizational goals. Utilizes data and operational metrics to drive decision-making resources planning and service excellence.
In collaboration with anesthesiology, nursing, and clinical leadership, the Manager supports continuous improvement. The Manager maintains clinical competence and provides direct support in anesthetizing locations as needed to address staffing gaps and ensure continuity of operations.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
3-5 years of experience as an anesthesia technician/technologist in a hospital setting or acute care setting.
Demonstrated experience supporting anesthetizing locations, including operating rooms (OR), ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), and/or non-operating room anesthesia (NORA) environments.
Experience with anesthesia equipment, supply inventory management, and coordination of equipment maintenance and repairs.
Working knowledge of regulatory, safety, and infection control standards applicable to anesthesia services.
Experience utilizing healthcare systems and technology (e.g., EMR, supply chain/inventory platforms).
Preferred:
Prior supervisory experience in an anesthesia or perioperative environment.
Experience with staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning across multiple locations.
Experience with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management.
Experience supporting pediatric and/or academic medical center environments.
Experience with equipment planning, capital forecasting, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
Experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives.
Experience implementing or optimizing clinical and/or operational IT systems.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required: High school diploma or GED required.
Required Certification at time of hire through the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists & Technicians:
Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or
Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.)
Preferred:
Associate Degree in Anesthesia Technology or related field.
Completion of an accredited anesthesia technician/technologist program.
Pay Scale Information
USD $79,934.00 - USD $137,030.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
