Job Description
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning and custodial operations across college campus facilities, which include academic buildings, residence halls, administrative offices, and common areas. This role ensures that the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Supervisor manages housekeeping staff, maintains quality standards, and ensures compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily cleaning and custodial operations across campus facilities.
Maintain high-quality standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies.
Manage housekeeping staff effectively.
Handle vendor relationships and invoicing.
Utilize work order software and CMMS for operations management.
Conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Manage customer service for vendor and leadership relationships.
Essential Skills
Janitorial experience
Supervisory and management skills
Proficiency in vendor relationship management
Experience with invoicing
Knowledge of work order software and CMMS
Inspection skills
Microsoft Word and Excel data entry skills
Facilities and GMP knowledge
Customer service skills for vendor and leadership relationships
Bilingual in Spanish/English
Additional Skills & Qualifications
APPA Cleanliness experience
CMMS System experience
3-5 years of management or supervisory experience
Experience in hotels/hospitality, casinos, academic settings, etc.
Union experience is a plus

Work Environment
The work environment is a college campus setting, requiring bilingual communication in English and Spanish. The role reports to the Associate Director of Facilities and operates within a union environment. Weekend shifts are required, with hours typically from 8am-4:30pm, starting as early as 6am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.
