Robert Half Grant Accountant Support in Los Angeles, California

Description We are looking for a skilled Grant Accountant Support specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position is ideal for individuals with experience in grant management and fund administration, particularly within the non-profit sector. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate records, and analyzing data to support the organization's mission.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee grant-related financial transactions, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies.

• Prepare and maintain detailed financial records and reports, including fund administration and NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations.

• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial data related to government grants.

• Utilize software such as Abila MIP, Blackbaud, and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to manage financial records and reports.

• Conduct audits and reviews of grant expenditures to ensure proper allocation of funds.

• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support for grant applications.

• Train and assist staff in understanding grant management processes and compliance requirements.

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial data related to grants and funding.

• Support the preparation of financial documents for audits and external reviews.

• Stay updated on changes in grant regulations and financial compliance requirements. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in grant accounting, fund administration, or a related financial role.

• Proficiency in using financial software such as Abila MIP, Blackbaud, and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT.

• Strong understanding of government grants and compliance regulations.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
