JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: CNC MACHINIST I (2nd Shift)
LOCATION: Chatsworth, CA
SHIFT: 4:30pm-1am (Monday through Friday)
Requirements
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric-controlled production equipment. CNC Machine Operation, Milling, Precision Machining
Ability to interpret Blueprints/Diagrams and Quality Requirements.
Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, work processes/products, company policy, and to make improvements or taking corrective action.
Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary. Troubleshooting
Follows established quality and safety standards.
Basic understanding of machine tool clearances, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets.
Monitors machine operations and inspect machined parts to ensure job specifications are met.
Selects from a variety of standard methods to inspect intricate parts.
Highly organized individual with excellent communication skills.
Additional machining responsibilities as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of experience related to above duties.
High school diploma, 2 years of trade school or equivalent or combination of education and experience.
Effective Communication oral and written.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES
Language Skills:
Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedural documentation. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
