The Salvation Army Summer Day Camp Group Leader in Lorain, Ohio

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and lead recreation, craft, and educational activities.

  • Provide the children with positive reinforcements and role modeling

  • Provide supervision to children on and off premises.

  • Facilitate the transportation of children as needed.

  • Facilitate weekly transportation inspection and monthly transportation drills.

  • Attend required in-service training, as well as required training to meet state standards

  • Maintain and monitor attendance records and sign-in/out sheets.

  • Other duties deemed necessary for the proper operation of the Summer Program by the Program Director.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Safety oriented at all times.

  • Prior education experience preferred

  • Prior childcare experience preferred

    SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.

  • A clean, current driver’s license a must

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification are needed.

  • Ability to pass a FBI and BCI Background check
