Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
The Engineering Technician for our Lonoke, AR location will be working with Engineers under the supervision of the Engineering Manager or designee. They will lead activities to improve manufacturing processes and increase production efficiencies.
As the Engineering Technician, you will have an opportunity to:
· Troubleshoot and correct process issues as they relate to equipment, tooling & materials.
· Design, plan and conduct testing to validate process improvements.
· Prepare equipment, tooling and experimental drawings or make changes to review with Engineer.
· Coordinate the fabrication and or repair of equipment, tooling and systems.
· Process purchase requests for experimental tooling and small commercial items.
· Advise and consult with Engineer and Management on the options and direction of various process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
· Use your skills and experience to train and develop others in good manufacturing techniques.
· Communicate effectively with management, engineers, tool setters and operators.
You have:
· High School graduate or GED and 4+ years manufacturing experience (7+ years preferred) or equivalent.
· Experience in brass manufacturing, cold heading operations preferred
· Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite and basic drafting principles. Experience with Solid Works.
· Skilled in interpreting machinery & tool drawings with a strong knowledge of machine shop practices and processes (i.e.
· Ability to develop, modify and follow technical instructions.
· Knowledgeable in different types, designs and functions of equipment and how machines & tools interact with each other. Ability to participate in the development of new equipment.
· Ability to troubleshoot machines, tooling, ballistics and process issues as required.
· Capability to inspect & verify machine setups, write procedures and related documents.
You might have:
· SolidWorks certification
· Ballistic knowledge or experience with energetics
· Machinist experience
· Welding and fabrication experience
· Fork truck license
Work Environment:
Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.
Pay Range:
Hourly Rate: $26.11 - $39.18
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
