Job Requirements
: A High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of automotive mechanic experience and some experience with vehicle diagnostics. ASE and OEM certifications preferred. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to pass our background check and drug screening. Ability to lift 50 or more pounds and work in various weather conditions. Understanding of basic automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical). Ability to quickly identify common vehicle issues. Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment. Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions Basic computer skills for recording vehicle conditions and repairs. Possess a personal set of tools required for the role. Ability to coordinate with auction staff, drivers, and management. Comfort working on various makes, models, and vehicle types.
Job Responsibilities
:Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues. Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems using the latest diagnostic tools. Prepare detailed condition reports on vehicles to be auctioned. Provide thorough post-sale inspections to ensure customer satisfaction. Perform necessary mechanical repairs on arbitrated vehicles with attention to detail. Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for repair work. Maintain comprehensive records on work completed and outstanding issues. Support Lot Crews to ensure smooth daily operations. Maintain shop, equipment and tools in excellent condition
