Housing Opportunities of SW Washington Supportive Services Case Manager in Longview, Washington
Our Supportive Services Case Manager position provides an opportunity to work in a mission driven organization where your continuous work efforts are contributing to the greater good of the community. In this position, a detail-oriented individual will utilize harm reduction techniques while providing support and services to program participants.
At Housing Opportunities of SW Washington (HOSWWA) we work closely with local government and community partners throughout Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, Lewis, and Pacific counties to address issues of affordable housing and homelessness and to help families break the cycle of poverty. We provide affordable housing and housing assistance to low-income residents within our service area. Supportive Services Case Managers provide service to the agency by providing service intensive case management to participants.
Your skills and experience will support our mission as you:
- Provide case management to participants for assistance in the program goals of housing, income enhancement through employment and/or benefit procurement, and self-determination.
- Provide support, encouragement, and firm direction to participants, possibly at all hours of the day and night.
- Ability to provide wrap around services to clients with more intensive needs, to include care coordination with all aspects of the participants care team.
- Utilize Harm Reduction and Motivational interviewing techniques with clients.
- Assist clients to construct individualized service plans, to include measurable and achievable goals.
- Oversee the residency of participants and enforce program standards.
Pay and Benefits
- The full pay range is $26.83 -- $32.04 / hour. Compensation for the position is negotiable, depending on the qualifications and experience of the chosen candidate. Applicants should not expect to start in the highest range of this salary.

- All HOSWWA employees are members of the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) administered by the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS). Employees may also contribute funds to Deferred Compensation Program (DCP), a supplemental retirement savings plan run by the DRS.
- Employees receive 14 paid holidays per year, paid sick leave accrual at a rate of 8 hours per month, and, following 90 days' orientation, paid annual leave starting at 40 hours per year.

Requirements
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Preference for individuals with a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
Preference for individuals with experience in case management, social services, or related fields.
Ability to keep the participant's best interest paramount in all areas of case management.
Ability to advocate equitably for each participant, facilitate interactions with other professionals and coordinate positive opportunities.
Knowledge of case management methods and commitment to stay current on all technical information available in the field.
Must have current computer skills.
Must have a valid Washington State Motor Vehicle Operators License.
Must furnish proof of an acceptable driving record (per Authority vehicle liability insurance provider guidelines) from the Motor Vehicle Divis
