Project Manager
We currently seek high caliber Engineering Project Manager for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Long Beach, CA.
Job Requirements
• Self-starter - Resourceful and able to troubleshoot issues but understands when to ask for help/clarification, Critical thinker
• General PM experience
Experience writing proposals and change requests
Experience with developing project schedules
Understanding of overall project budgets
Able to oversee and coordinate multiple disciplines – including subcontractors
Good communication
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering • A sound theoretical background in strength of materials, engineering mechanics, theory of elasticity and thin plates, advanced mathematics (including matrix algebra), and design of structures.Previous experience working with refineries
Experience with retrofit/tenant improvements of buildings in the petrochemical industry
Understanding of building systems (structural, MEP, architectural, roofing, etc)
Knowledge of building codes and regulations (local, state) – building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, energy
Experience with plan check, permitting, and inspection process
Experience working in the oil and gas industry
Project phases, funding
Specifications, standards
Safety
Construction
