Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in high-precision electromechanical assembly and rework, adhering to engineering directions and maintaining ESD-safe practices. You will be responsible for precision torquing and mechanical integration according to specifications, conducting surface inspections, and maintaining detailed documentation. You will also interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build instructions while supporting prototype builds and iterative engineering changes.
Responsibilities
Perform high-precision electromechanical assembly and rework following engineering directions.
Handle PCBA with care, ensuring adherence to ESD-safe practices.
Execute precision torquing and mechanical integration to specifications.
Conduct thorough surface inspections and maintain detailed documentation.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and build instructions accurately.
Support prototype builds and manage iterative engineering changes effectively.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and electronics systems.
Strong soldering skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair technical issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with IPC-A-620 (Cable & Wire Harness Assembly) is beneficial.
Knowledge of J-STD-001 (Soldering Standards) is an advantage.
Understanding of NASA Workmanship Standards is preferred but not required
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00/hr.
