Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Long Beach, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to expand their experience in a fast-paced accounting environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Review and input invoices, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to company policies.
• Support the accounting team with administrative tasks and general ledger activities.
• Maintain well-organized records and ensure timely data entry for seamless operations.
• Collaborate with team members to follow established workflows and learn additional procedures.
• Assist with coding invoices and preparing for check runs.
• Perform invoice processing tasks while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Utilize accounting software to manage financial data and support reporting needs.
• Conduct 10-key data entry with speed and precision to meet daily requirements. Requirements • Previous exposure to accounts payable processes or relevant accounting coursework.
• A degree in accounting or recent graduation from an accounting program is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently during an 8-hour shift.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as V365, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in 10-key data entry and a strong aptitude for numerical accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality.
