Senior Process Engineer (Job ID: KWT-CO25-CHAG) - DUTIES: Perform and/or oversee design engineering tasks including equipment sizing calculations and specifications, hydraulic calculations, P&ID and PFD drawing preparation. Act as the main point of contact for facility process design for both technical and managerial (scope, schedule, budget) questions. This includes leading, managing, and delegating work to other support process/mechanical engineers assigned to the project underneath you. Support the business development team with bringing in additional mining/minerals/metals engineering work by attending client meetings and site visits to mines/mineral processing facilities, and/or attending and presenting at industry specific conferences throughout North America. Mentor/train less experienced engineers to prepare them for future roles/design tasks. Identify major areas of risk on the project and track these through the lifecycle of the job, developing technical and/or commercial mitigation strategies. Manage the interface within a multi-disciplinary team and project management for these risks. Hybrid work from home schedule permitted 1-2 days per week from home office within reasonable commuting distance from office.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field and 10 years of work experience. In addition, 5 years of experience to involve: (1) performing and/or overseeing design engineering tasks including equipment sizing calculations and specifications, hydraulic calculations, and PFD and P&ID drawing preparation. Also, 2 years of experience to involve: (2) acting as the main point of contact for facility process design for both technical and managerial (scope, schedule, budget) questions; (3) leading, managing, and delegating work to other support process/mechanical engineers assigned to the project; and (4) mentoring/training less experienced engineers to prepare them for future roles/design tasks. Hybrid work from home schedule permitted 1-2 days per week from home office within reasonable commuting distance from office.
