This role supports the second year of a multiyear effort to bring enhanced marketing and product exploration experiences into the mobile application, with an initial launch planned for February and continued optimization work extending through the year. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, experience working in complex digital environments, and the ability to evaluate the experience from a user perspective. This role blends UX research, experimentation, content development, and cross-functional coordination to improve pre- and post-login marketing experiences within the app. Candidates must be comfortable working with UX, Product, Tech, and Marketing teams to identify gaps, propose enhancements, and help guide the experience forward.
The Basics
- Duration: Ongoing
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Onsite Requirements: Hybrid - Onsite Monday through Thursday; Remote on Fridays
- Primary Location: Austin, TX (preferred)
- Secondary Location: Lone Tree, CO (if based in Colorado, must be able to go onsite when a seat becomes available)
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- Experience in digital marketing product management, including UX partnership, A/B testing, and data-informed decision-making, with the ability to understand complex app experiences and identify gaps.
- Strong UX research and experimentation background, with the ability to shape UX briefs, partner with researchers, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for an in-app experience.
- Proven ability to operate within large, regulated organizations, leading cross-functional initiatives and coordinating across UX, Product, Tech, Marketing, Compliance, and Legal teams.
Other Qualifications
- Background in product strategy, product marketing, or digital experience management.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and navigate technical complexity.
- Experience collaborating on nurture or acquisition initiatives; hands-on creation not required but partnership experience is valued.
- Familiarity with content development workflows, stakeholder management, and documentation for regulated environments.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders who weigh in at each stage.
- Experience working in slower-moving or highly regulated industries (government, healthcare, telecom, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to partner closely with UX, support research execution, and help synthesize findings.
- A portfolio is nice to have but not required.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners.
Key Responsibilities
- UX Research (20 percent)
- Conduct UX research on existing and proposed in-app marketing experiences. Help shape research briefs, participate in research sessions, and collaborate with UX partners to understand what they are trying to learn. Assist with synthesis and translate findings into recommendations that move the experience forward.
- A/B Testing (20 percent)
- Identify opportunities for experimentation within the app and manage tests from planning through completion. Coordinate timelines, resources, and documentation. Partner with UX on mockups and concepts, and QA test layouts. Support tests related to entry points, personalization, information architecture, smart banners, quizzes, and CTA strategy.
- Nurture Campaign Development (20 percent)
- Collaborate with Acquisition partners to identify lead-nurture opportunities tied to conversion drop-off. Participate in planning for lead forms, email, and SMS, but with primary focus on the in-app product experience rather than building campaigns directly. Partner with UX and Product teams on implementation.
- UX Enhancements (20 percent)
- Work with UX to identify and deliver enhancements within the mobile app, including templates, tables, callouts, a view-all-products experience, and other improvements needed after the initial launch. Support personalization and optimization initiatives across the app.
- Assistant Integration Support (10 percent)
- Partner with intelligent-assistant or conversational-assistant teams to identify routing opportunities and ensure in-app marketing intents are directed to the correct native experience rather than external surfaces.
- Content Development (5 percent)
- Support content development and optimization for in-app experiences. Coordinate SME and stakeholder reviews across Marketing, Product, Compliance, and Legal, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Publishing (5 percent)
- Publish updates as a federated publisher following established channel and operational guidelines. Support both pre-login and post-login marketing publishing needs within the app.
