Reporting to the Sr Manager, Canada Service the Service Bench Technician II is responsible for providing high quality repair and preventative maintenance services for all Hach brands equipment supported through the Service Center. As part of a small team, a portion of duties will include shipment receiving, outbound packaging and shipping, general inventory duties (operations support).

This position is part of the NA Service Commercial team located in London, Ontario and is based onsite in London, Ontario .

This position follows a 4‑day workweek schedule (7:00am – 5:30pm ET, Tuesday through Friday) , offering better work–life balance while maintaining high operational performance.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Use established work instructions to provide repair, calibration, certification and preventative maintenance services for all Hach brands equipment.

  • Determine the amount to bill customers within a framework of charges using computerized service systems.

  • Provide input to new product design teams as assigned.

  • Accurate inventory management.

  • Perform receiving function for customer products delivered to the Service Center

  • Package completed instruments.

  • Perform outbound shipping functions

  • Provide assistance to bench and centralized field service inventory functions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a two-year degree in a technical discipline is preferred.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical systems as well as the calibration and testing of instruments.

  • A minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database applications.

  • Ability to travel, without restriction, as required (limited), including travel to the US for training.

It would be an asset if you have:

  • Knowledge of Oracle, ServiceMax/Salesforce.

The hourly pay rate range for this role is $30 - $32 CAD per hour. Factors that will be considered for the salary offered to the successful candidate include internal equity, years of direct job related and skill experience, and relevant job market.
