Kelly Services Legal Assistant / Law Clerk in London, Ontario

Kelly Services is currently hiring a Legal Assistant / Law Clerk to support a busy legal clinic environment on a temporary basis. This is a 2–3 month temporary assignment and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting and can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

  • File court documents and work within the LTB portal (submit evidence, order transcripts, conduct client intakes) and Small Claims Court portal

  • Communicate with the Crown and Small Claims Court via email; utilize Justice Services Online and Tribunal Ontario Portal

  • Provide front-line reception support, including handling phone and email inquiries

  • Coordinate and conduct client intakes, including screening for eligibility and managing confidential information

  • Schedule meetings and provide administrative support to caseworkers, counsel, and clients

  • Prepare, review, and format legal documents and correspondence

  • Maintain client databases and filing systems; ensure accuracy and confidentiality of records

  • Track court dates, limitation periods, and key deadlines

  • Coordinate support services such as interpreters as needed

  • Assist with reporting, data tracking, and general administrative tasks to support clinic operations

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience working in Small Claims Court, Civil Litigation, or Landlord & Tenant law

  • Hands-on experience with the LTB portal and other legal systems (e.g., Small Claims Court, Justice Services Online)

  • Post-secondary education in a Law Clerk, Paralegal, or Legal Administration program (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to manage databases, documents, and multiple systems

  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage competing deadlines, and work independently

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Solid understanding of legal procedures, policies, and documentation

  • Experience coordinating calendars, scheduling meetings, and supporting multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information:

  • Background check is required

  • Onsite 5 days, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
