Reporting to the Global EHS Manager, the EHS Coordinator will have the ability to build cross functional relationships among Trojan, Veralto and outside agencies. The EHS Coordinator will serve this vital role for our facilities in London, Ontario. You will assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Environment Health and Safety programs and policies that ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial and local regulatory requirements. Supporting key objectives through continuous improvement.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Beginning each day with Daily Management, partnering closely with Operations leaders to review site performance, identify risks, and assess impacts to operational objectives.
Participating in daily EHS team meetings to review priorities, align on planned activities, and escalate items from Operations Daily Management as required.
Executing daily EHS standard work, including identifying unsafe acts or conditions, supporting leaders with investigations and problem‑solving efforts, completing compliance and audit actions, and providing consistent day‑to‑day EHS guidance and support.
Building strong, trust‑based relationships with associates and managers, proactively addressing EHS issues and driving timely, effective solutions.
Developing, planning, and implementing innovative EHS programs that meet regulatory, corporate, and site‑specific requirements.
Coordinating and delivering EHS training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with corporate expectations.
Driving assigned project action plans and tracking progress through successful completion.
Providing responsive, ad hoc EHS support to leaders and teams as operational needs arise.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or other applicable field(s).
Minimum of three years’ experience leading EHS, preferably in an industrial establishment
Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and safety Act and related regulations
Experience with manufacturing operations, laboratories and/or environmental sustainability best practices an asset
Actively working towards CRST/CRSP preferred
ISO14001/ISO45001 - experience preferred
Experience with Cority or other EHS data management system experience preferred
Some travel will be required for Benchmarking and Kaizen activities at other Trojan or Veralto facilities
Strong communication, leadership, presentation, training, analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a variety of people at various technical and management levels.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $58,000 to $70,000 per hr/year . This job is also eligible for 5% bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, and medical/dental/vision insurance to eligible employees.
