Veralto Applications & Process Engineering Intern in London, Ontario
In this role, you will:
• Develop technical proposal and bid development for membrane filtration (MF/UF/RO) capital equipment, temporary water treatment, and existing customer engineered modifications/upgrades. You will be responsible for understanding customer technical needs, sizing equipment, developing drawings, costing, technical proposal writing, and balanced risk taking.
• Identify, share, and execute additional opportunities for growth for Aria Filtra. You will have an opportunity to own process improvement initiatives. Lead or assist in the development of proposal development, costing, and budgetary tools to improve the accuracy and speed of proposals to customers.
• Support customer projects to ensure that system design is optimized and able to meet the performance and treatment requirements for specific water and site conditions. • Work with operations and commissioning team to provide required information including test protocols, data analysis and reports.
• Provide aftermarket sales and service team with guidance for system optimizations and issue resolution to address customer performance and cleaning issues.
• Creatively solve problems related to system operation to ensure system performance and up time.
• Analyzing potential foulants and cleaning solutions.
• Analyze system hydraulics and identify design constraints that may limit or reduce system effectiveness
• Analyze operating data to generate high quality performance reports for customers.
Are you qualified?
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor of engineering student in chemical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with process and equipment design calculations on water treatment systems or similar.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
• Data management and analysis skills.
• Communication and organizational skills.
• Up to 10% travel. Must have no legal restrictions to travel between US and Canada.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience/knowledge in:
• Process knowledge in microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis.
• Related technologies for pre-and post-membrane treatment such as dissolved air flotation, granular media filtration, clarifiers, lime softening, coagulation, de-gasifier, ion exchange, solids handling, or UV.
• Experience presenting research and/or peer reviewed publications.
• Experience developing and analyzing cost estimates.
• Experience analyzing water quality lab results.
