Job Description
At AECOM, we are at the forefront of the energy sector’s transformation, driving the shift toward a more sustainable and inclusive future. As Europe accelerates efforts to reduce carbon emissions and transition to clean energy, we’re playing a pivotal role in delivering innovative, low-carbon energy solutions that meet the growing demands of the industry, our communities, and the planet.
As a global leader in engineering, environmental, and construction services, we’re committed to delivering resilient, sustainable legacies. From wind and solar to hydropower, energy storage, hydrogen and nuclear, our projects span the entire energy ecosystem, enabling the UK’s transition to a greener future. We're proud to be working on some of the country’s most iconic renewable energy projects, ensuring a balanced, reliable, and sustainable energy mix for future generations.
You will be entrusted with the following critical responsibilities
Project Delivery: Ensure the successful execution and completion of energy advisory projects, observing quality standards and timelines.
Business Development: Strategically identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the energy sector.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, cultivating a high-performance environment that aligns with organisational objectives.
Thought Leadership: Establish AECOM as a preeminent authority in the field, contributing insights and innovative solutions to complex energy challenges.
Industry Expertise: Maintain and continuously expand an in-depth understanding of the low carbon market in the UK and Europe, with particular emphasis on renewable power, Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS), and industrial decarbonisation.
Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate exceptional strategic acumen and collaborative skills, leveraging comprehensive industry knowledge of the low carbon market in Europe.
Client Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, from C-suite executives to investors, effectively communicating complex technical information.
Problem-Solving and Analysis: Apply robust analytical skills to interrogate data, derive meaningful insights, and develop strategic solutions to energy-related challenges.
Presentation and Communication: Deliver insightful presentations and written communications that effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Industrial Decarbonisation: Leverage extensive experience in working with industrial clients to drive forward critical decarbonisation initiatives.
Organisational Agility: Demonstrate the ability to navigate and thrive within a dynamic, large-scale matrix organisation, adapting swiftly to evolving priorities and challenges.
Inclusion and Wellbeing: Actively contribute to the organisation's inclusion and wellbeing strategies by fostering a culture of respect and professionalism within the team and broader organisation.
The successful candidate will be expected to approach these responsibilities with dedication, recognising their pivotal role in advancing AECOM's position at the forefront of the energy sector.
