Job Title: Senior Director, Artist Channel Optimization
Reports To: VP, Global Catalogue Growth & Insights
A little bit about our team:
The Growth & Insights team at Warner Music Global Catalogue serves as a strategic engine that bridges deep audience intelligence with scalable technological innovation. The team operates through two core functions: delivering nuanced cultural, audience, and data-driven insights to inform long-term strategy and creative direction for our legendary roster; and second, harnessing emerging technologies and automated solutions to drive creative impact & optimization at scale.
Bridging the gap between deep artist-specific analysis and scalable automation, this role sits at the heart of the Growth & Insights team to safeguard the global digital health of our roster. You will lead the strategy to ensure all digital touchpoints of our artists are perfectly optimised to maximize visibility, deepen engagement, and increase monetization, including Streaming (DSPs), Social Media, and Video platforms. As the primary guardian of our artists’ digital health, you will design the blueprints for a world-class digital footprint. Your mission is to ensure every touchpoint is engineered to capture new audiences, convert passive listeners into superfans, and maximize long-term monetization.
Here you'll get to:
Build tiered and segmented optimisation frameworks to focus effort where impact is highest
Develop and roll out playbooks, training, checklists, and governance for label and brand teams
Lead Artist best practice across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and emerging formats
Improve metadata, localisation, content planning, archive exploitation, and channel optimisation standards
Partnering with Tech teams, create scalable systems for scoring, reporting, automation, and operational execution
Partner with commercial, marketing, product, legal, finance, archive, insights, artists and external partners
Lead pilots and test-and-learn programmes, converting successful ideas into repeatable business practice
Present clearly and credibly to artist teams, label leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
Stay up to date with DSP features, SEO trends, and platform innovations to continually evolve optimization strategies.
Implement DSP, YouTube & Social profile optimizations (playlist pinning, SEO bios, metadata) as a key component of campaign planning and audience engagement.
Build and manage the optimizations within the Trending Tracks process
Work with local marketing teams to incorporate regional and cultural nuances into curated regional / territory specific optimizations
About you:
Expert knowledge of DSP, Social & Video ecosystems
Solid understanding of SEO principles, metadata optimization, and content discoverability as marketing levers.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across local, regional, and global teams
Ability to analyze platform engagement data and apply insights to marketing campaigns.
Passion for music & cultural trends
Experience in asset / IP / brand management within the music / entertainment sector
Track record leading cross-functional projects
Deep knowledge of new and emerging technologies, including AI tools
Relish change with an innovative mindset
