Join Tate & Lyle Sugars on a four‑year engineering apprenticeship and train to become a Multi‑Skilled Technician, learning from experts in a world‑class manufacturing environment.
? What You’ll Be Doing
From day one, you’ll gain real experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. With full training and support, you’ll learn how to:
Install, assemble and dismantle mechanical and electrical equipment
Maintain and repair machinery to keep our plant running safely and efficiently
Troubleshoot faults and find practical solutions
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
Work with cutting‑edge equipment in a live production environment
Develop a continuous improvement mindset – always finding better ways to work
No two days are the same, and you’ll finish the programme with skills that set you up for a long and successful engineering career.
? What We’re Looking For
You don’t need experience — just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
We’re looking for students who:
Enjoy practical, hands‑on work
Can follow instructions and work safely
Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
Are comfortable using computers and technology
Work well in a team and communicate clearly
Are motivated, curious, and ready to take on new challenges
