Our state-of-the-art payload processing facilities are ideally located to support launches from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center in Florida, as well as the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FACILITIES/OPERATIONS (MECHANICAL) TECHNICIAN
Looking for a Facilities Technician with a
strong
mechanical background. Prior experience troubleshooting systems is required. Electrical or HVAC experience preferred, but not required.
Key Duties include:
- Conduct maintenance, repair, and modifications of all mechanical systems and building structures. Systems include: cranes, roofs, manlifts, roll-up doors, man doors, motors, golf carts, forklifts, tractors, etc..
- Perform hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, rebuilding, modification, upgrading, and testing of various facility systems, and other maintenance tasks on HVAC and electrical systems.
- Act as mentor for less experienced personnel.
- Perform mission operations including customer support, facility operation, and propellant operations.
- May provide cleanroom services and oversee vendors as required.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FACILITIES/OPERATIONS (MECHANICAL) TECHNICIAN
Qualified applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience. Must have a strong mechanical background and experience with troubleshooting and repair. Experience with general facility maintenance highly desired. Experience with cleanroom environments, electrical systems, and HVAC systems is preferred.
Position requires a high attention to detail, a results-focused team player that can adapt to change with demonstrated initiative and accountability. Must be a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Must have a basic knowledge of computer use to include Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have experience reading and understanding operational procedures and schematics. Position requires working with hazardous chemicals. Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job.
