Job Title: Quality Manager
Job Description
The Quality Manager leads the quality function within a manufacturing operation, with a strong focus on Tier 1 automotive standards. This role drives quality performance, supports production activities, and ensures that customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met. The position champions continuous improvement across the plant, using data-driven methods to reduce scrap, rework, and defects while strengthening quality systems and processes.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Quality function within a manufacturing environment, providing direction and support to the quality team.
Ensure compliance with Tier 1 automotive quality requirements and customer expectations across all products and processes.
Own, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, scrap, rework, and corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in both quality and production areas by applying structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues and improve process capability.
Support and participate in audits, customer visits, and internal quality reviews, ensuring readiness and effective follow-up on findings.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and related records.
Coach, mentor, and develop quality team members to build technical expertise and a strong quality culture.
Promote adherence to quality control and quality assurance standards throughout the facility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that metallurgical and material specifications are understood and consistently met.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting customer and regulatory audits in a manufacturing environment.
Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies within quality and production settings.
Ability to coach and develop team members to enhance overall quality performance.
Strong communication skills to interface with internal teams and external customers.
Comfort working with data and metrics to identify trends and drive process improvements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $128000.00/yr.
