What You'll Be Doing
Lead and support process optimization initiatives to improve plant performance and efficiency.
Operate the kiln, mills, and other process equipment within state, provincial, and federal parameters for air quality standards, understanding how process changes affect plant operations with respect to the permit limits.
Communicate plant requirements to on-coming shift and maintenance personnel. Coordinate with technical support on operational matters and prepare operating shift reports.
Train and mentor plant personnel on process control systems and best practices
Enter locate, interpret, and use various layers of information using network computers, DSC screens, remote access panels, etc. for shift reports, notifications, measurements, inventions process measures.
What Are We Looking For
Deep analytical capability to interpret process data, diagnose root causes, and drive improvements in kiln stability, grinding efficiency and fuel usage.
Proven leadership in cement or heavy-process environment, with the ability to influence cross functional teams and guide operators toward consistent, high quality production.
Strong proficiency with process control systems and the ability to translate data into actionable operational decisions
Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and product quality, ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements and plant standards
Adaptability and initiative in a dynamic manufacturing setting, with the confidence to make informed decisions during upset conditions, equipment changes, or process variability
Work Environment
This role operates in a heavy industrial setting, including exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures. The position requires time spent both in the Control room and within the plant floor, with a focus on safety, compliance and collaboration.
