Overview
This individual must be a former SEED intern and must have participated in a semester abroad through the SEED program. They will work closely with the Center for Entrepreneurship's Program Coordinator to market the SEED internship and support collaboration efforts with Mentors International and other in-country partners.
This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary student liaison for a specific SEED country/location, supporting communication between interns, local coordinators, and the SEED program team
Provide peer mentorship and guidance to interns before and during their in-country experience
Maintain regular communication with interns to support onboarding, cultural adjustment, and overall success
Coordinate key logistics including airport pickup, housing readiness (cleanliness, bed setup, key access), and initial arrival needs
Assist in preparing interns for their assignments, including confirming mentor placements and supporting class recruitment efforts
Conduct consistent check-ins with intern teams to help them stay organized, manage client work, and navigate challenges
Collaborate with in-country SEED Coordinators to address concerns and improve the overall intern and entrepreneur experience
Maintain continuity between internship cohorts by supporting communication with entrepreneurs and helping transition knowledge forward
Provide regular updates to SEED leadership on intern progress, challenges, and insights
Qualifications
Previous participation in a semester abroad through the SEED program
Former SEED intern
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and support peers
High level of organization and reliability, especially in managing logistics and communication across teams
Ability to take initiative and problem-solve in dynamic, cross-cultural environments
Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders (students, coordinators, program leadership)
Demonstrated leadership experience or ability to guide and support a team
Adaptability and cultural awareness, with a willingness to support interns in unfamiliar environments
Ability to manage responsibilities independently while maintaining consistent communication with leadership
Passion for entrepreneurship, international development, and the SEED mission
