Overview
The ADRC Program Assistant III will assist the Director of the Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Research Center and the Program Coordinator to perform a combination of program-related and/or administrative functions. This position involves communication with older adults in the community to connect them to individual research projects or to join our research registry. This person will also monitor the research registry database and be compliant with the research ethics requirements of our Institutional Review Board. This position will assist in planning and helping with Center events, attending conferences and other community activities where they will advertise our services and studies, build connections and relationships, and give community presentations. The position will include creating/distributing content for social media, answering phones and writing and replying to emails in a professional manner, as well as tasks that support center faculty, staff, and students. This position will require regular on-campus meetings at USU in Logan, UT. This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah.
Responsibilities
Provides support to ADRC director, program coordinator, students, and/or research staff.
Performs office management duties, including scheduling, filing, preparing paperwork, ordering supplies, and/or managing inventories.
Represents the ADRC in a positive and professional manner with students, staff, faculty, and the community, including older adults with and without dementia.
Monitors the research registries database and connects registrants with appropriate studies.
Seeks ways to improve efficiency of services and develops processes to streamline procedures.
Maintains and creates website and social media content.
Writes, edits, and coordinates the development of promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures.
Advises students, clients, or members of the general public about program specific requirements, regulations, services, etc.
Coordinates program/department activities including webinars, conferences, and events.
Helps recruit for active studies.
Trains and guides student interns and/or part-time employees, where needed.
Serves as the liaison between administration, faculty, students who are participating in the program, and/or community members who serve as mentors.
Provides support in program compliance activities.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
This position will require travel to and from events and organizations to facilitate and build community relationships throughout Northern Utah.
