Overview
The Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and relationship-focused Operations and Program Assistant to support the execution of core leadership initiatives across Utah State University. This role manages essential logistical, financial, and administrative functions that enable our programs to operate effectively. Additionally, the assistant will serve as a support resource and community-builder for our team of student workers.
Responsibilities
Financial and Budget Management
Help manage center fiscal tracking, budgeting, and expense processing.
Process receipts, reimbursements, and purchasing documentation.
Maintain accurate expenditure records for events, materials, and programs.
Logistics and Event Coordination
Reserve rooms and event spaces across campus.
Coordinate production and printing with Aggie Print and external vendors.
Help oversee logistics for leadership trips including Washington D.C., Fiji, and Europe.
Partner with the Huntsman Recruiting Office to plan and execute logistics of Emerging Leaders Conferences.
Coordinate with K-12 faculty and partners for statewide leadership events.
Purchase weekly program supplies such as snacks, materials, and marketing assets.
Support the execution of programs through onsite preparation and coordination.
Administrative and Data Management
Maintain Salesforce records including event tracking, impact metrics, and data accuracy.
Support scheduling, communication workflows, and operational documentation.
Ensure systems and reporting processes are consistent and reliable.
Team Support and Community Building
Build strong relationships with student employees and support them in their roles.
Foster a high-trust, service-oriented, inclusive environment.
Assist students employees with operational needs, coordination, and problem-solving.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Reliable, professional, and highly organized.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in event planning or operational coordination.
Familiarity with Salesforce, Canva, AggiePrint, or USU campus systems.
