Overview
USU Housing Landscape Laborer is responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of the landscape and grounds on the USU Housing campus, including all year landscape activity.
Responsibilities
Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flower beds, etc.
Applies insecticides to rid grounds of small pests as needed
Applies fertilizers as needed
Prunes trees, trims shrubs, and pulls weeds
Rakes and mulches the grounds
Sprinkler repair and maintenance
Removes snow from sidewalks, approaches, and parking lots.
Sprays herbicides as needed
Perform as a team member on all job related tasks
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be 16 years or older.
Valid Utah driver's license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials.

The position requires considerable physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects. Employees must be prepared to assume uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
