Overview
Make a positive impact by supporting programs that strengthen both youth and families. This internship focuses on 4-H youth development and home and community education, offering hands-on experience in areas such as leadership development, nutrition, wellness, and family life. Interns will help deliver programs, develop educational materials, and engage with participants of all ages.
Our team fosters a welcoming and encouraging environment where interns are supported in learning and trying new things. You'll gain experience working in both youth and community settings, with opportunities to collaborate, lead activities, and build professional skills. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on program needs. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in Extension, community education, community health, or family and consumer sciences.
Responsibilities
Assist with youth programs in cooking, sewing, and life skills
Support nutrition, health promotion, and disease prevention education
Help create a positive, engaging youth learning environment
Assist with community and family-focused Extension programs
Support program setup, delivery, and evaluation
Qualifications
Be an undergraduate student
Have an interest in the Extension program
Be dependable
