We accomplish this by building strong networks, advancing community-centered research, expanding the nutrition workforce, delivering evidence-based education, sharing impactful stories, and supporting sustainable community solutions
We are seeking a qualified individual for an 8-week internship (25 hours per week) starting as early as May 1, 2026, to support the piloting of multiple Create Better Health youth programs. The internship will be housed under the state office, but most internship activities will take place in Cache County.
Responsibilities
Program Operations and Evaluation
Provide food demos and small activities for youth at community booths
Teach CBH curriculum to multiple age groups ranging from 3 years old to high school age.
Survey and collect data to show effectiveness of programs
Partnership and Event Coordination
Assist in planning and execution of Kids Camps with various local partnerships
Strengthen local community partnerships
Connect participants with local community resources to improve health access
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working with young children
Experience or education in a nutrition, education, health promotion or related field
Have a continuous growth mindset
Self-motivated
Can keep tasks well organized
Reliable transportation to be able to get to activities and events around Cache Valley
Preferred Qualifications
Have a current food handlers permit
