Overview

Helping with the day to day trouble tickets for Housing Technology.

 

Hours: Flexible hours within M-F 9am - 5 pm, some weekends may be required. 15 hours minimum with a 30 hour max during the school year in blocks of at least 2 hours at a time; up to 30 hours per week may become available during the summer.

 

Along with your application, you must provide your available work schedule, with blocks of 2 consecutive hours minimum.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Helping with the day to day trouble tickets for Housing Technology.

  • Development and implementation of multiple Housing security systems.

  • Pulling wires and physical installation of hardware as needed.

  • Travel between housing locations using Housing IT vehicles to complete service and support duties.

     

Qualifications

 

  • Working knowledge of computer hardware.

  • Experience troubleshooting windows workstations.

  • Comfortable and willing to work on ladders and with hand tools.

  • Valid driver's license to perform essential job responsibilities, such as driving university vehicles and transporting materials

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.  The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Employees must be comfortable and willing to work on ladders and with hand tools.
